The International Que Reunion - 2015
The International Que Reunion (IQR) began in the late 90’s when a group of military members of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity from Theta Rho Chapter (Germany) and Lambda Xi Chapter (South Korea) decided to get together at a common location to fellowship and socialize.
The event later evolved into a biennial celebration and scholarship fundraiser for all members and friends of our fraternity. The IQR was first hosted by the Lambda Gamma Gamma Chapter (Capital Region Ques) in Washington, DC in 1999. Phi Kappa Kappa Chapter (Hotlanta Military Ques) then hosted the event in Atlanta, GA June 2001, and it was a huge success. We (Lambda Gamma Gamma & Phi Kappa Kappa) have alternated hosting this event every other year--between Omega’s Conclaves. This year the event will be hosted by the PKK Chapter in Atlanta. The weekend events will include: Hospitality Night, Golf Tournament, All White Party, Cookout & Day Party, Late Night Hospitality and an Omega Prayer Breakfast (Omegas Only).

Helping in Time of Need
Last year one of Brothers suffered a stroke. As you know that a stroke can come out of the blue; they can’t be predicted or prevented. Perhaps your friend suffered from such a stroke. He is my Friend and it was hard to understand. A stroke can be devastating. It can take away your ability to move, talk and understand the world around you. It can leave you utterly dependent on other people to help you with all the daily activities of living.
This GO Fund Me is set up to assist our friend in a time of need.
If you would like to donate to the Go Fund me account set up in his name please click the button below. Thanking You in Advance
PKK Supports Mental Health
Brother, You’re On My Mind: Changing the Dialogue about African American Men and Mental Health
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. reaches out to the National Institutes of Health on an initiative to collaborate on an educational outreach initiative to raise awareness about mental health conditions affecting African American men. In 2010, an estimated 45.9 million adults aged 18 or older in the United States had a mental illness in the past year. This represents 20 percent of all adults in this country (Source: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, The National Survey on Drug Use and Health 2012.)
Brother, You’re On My Mind: Changing the Dialogue about African American Men and Mental Health initiative seeks to raise awareness about bullying and depression affecting African American men, their families, and underserved communities. “This initiative is a signature program of our administration and we look forward to establishing a partnership with the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) and other institutes within the National Institutes of Health to ensure that we have the most current, evidence-based information to assist us in this effort,” said Antonio Knox, Grand Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
The 2nd Annual Mental Health Fair and Walk is just one of the channels that Chapters throughout the State of Georgia will utilize to help address the issues that plague our Community! We are partnering with Mental Health In The African American Community, Inc. to make this happen and urging Brothers to show up force to take advantage of the resources that will be available. Brothers it’s up to us as leaders to address this epidemic!
