Proud Fatherhood Rally & Stance Against Domestic Violence at Mall West End

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.  announced that it will hold its 4th Annual “Proud Fathers Rally and Stance Against Domestic Violence” Saturday, June 14, 2014, from 11 am-4 pm at The Mall West End located on 850 Oak Street SW Atlanta, GA 30310.

The proud fathers rally invites all men and children to fellowship for a day of activities set to engage and empower as an effort to celebrate and promote best practices of fatherhood.

The event will feature fatherhood advocacy organizations, legal assistance, heath screening, DNA testing, employment recruiting, and financial literacy sessions, all geared towards challenging men to become stewards in their households, as well as leaders in their respective community.

In addition, mental health counselors and family support groups will provide informative resources, as a counter to the rise in family and domestic violence cases.

Since its inception in 2011, the Proud Fathers Rally has emerged as one of the fastest growing events in the nation under the fatherhood initiative spearheaded by President Barack Obama in 2012.

Last year, up to 1,000 fathers and their children attended the event at the Georgia State Capitol.
