Each year the brothers of the Fraternity
celebrate the “Founding of the Fraternity”, which normally starts on the Sunday
before Nov. 17th of each year.
It consist of a week long of planned events to get the chapter energized
for the Founder’s Banquet that allows
the brothers to dress up and reward those individuals who have been
voted on to win certain awards.
Since everything starts with prayer, the
brothers visited the River Of Life AME Church for its 9:30am service on Sunday,
Nov. 10, 2013. On Monday, Nov. 11, 2013,
the chapter continued its long tradition of visiting the local VA Hospital from
9-11am. Several brothers also attended a
Monday Night Football event later that night.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, a “RAPP Session”, was held to let the
brothers talk about a wide variety of events that affect the Fraternity on all
levels.
A “Greek Social” was held on Wednesday, Nov. 13,
2013, which allowed other organizations a chance to come and network with each
other. Two events were held on Thursday,
Nov. 14, 2013, the first was a “City-Wide Brotherhood Luncheon”, which allowed
all brothers from the different chapters in the metro Atlanta area to get
together and have lunch. The second
event was a Basketball Mentorship program, held at one of the brother’s home church. This event allows the brothers to provide a
“Positive Role Model” to the young men that attend the program, which was
started to keep them off the streets.
“Family Night” was held on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013,
at a local bowling alley. Once again all
metro Atlanta area brothers gathered for a “City-Wide Rededication Ceremony”

also held on Saturday night. This is the
one time of the year where the brothers and their ladies can put on their
Formal Clothes and have a great time on the town. The last and final event was held on Sunday,
Nov. 17, 2013, at a “City-Wide IHQ Day Party”, to celebrate the Fraternity’s
102 Anniversary.
